Bio

Scott Blair enters his sixth season at the helm of the Mighty Oaks program.  Blair looks to build on an Oaks campaign in 2016-17 where the program had its most successful season to date and Blair was recognized as Conference Coach of the Year.  The team finished with an 11-10 regular season record, most wins in a season (11) and the team's first winning season.  The team also qualified for postseason play for the second consecutive year in the HVIAC conference touranment and received numerous accolades including United States Collegiate Athletic  Assocation (USCAA) national rankings during the entire season (high of #10), one USCAA First-Team All-American award winner, one Conference Player of the Year award winner and three USCAA Academic All-Americans.  During Blair's tenure as coach, the Mighty Oaks have had seven appearances on the USCAA All-Academic Team, three USCAA All-Americans, oneHVIAC Conference Player of the Tear selection and four HVIAC All-Conference Team selections.

Blair brings over fifteen years of coaching experience to the program as a member of a variety of programs at the NCAA, NJCAA and high school level.  From 2006 through 2008, Blair worked as an assistant coach at Onondaga Community College (NJCAA Division III) were he contributed to two Mid-State Athletic Conference championship teams (2006 and 2007) and as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Kutztown University (PA) for the 2005-06 campaign and as a graduate intern during the 2004-05 season.   Coach Blair began his coaching career at Kutztown Area High School from 2001 to 2005 as an assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach. 
 
In addition to overseeing the Mighty Oaks basketball program, Blair serves as the College's Director of Student Diversity & Inclusion and has been a part of the Division of Student Affairs staff at ESF for nine years.  Blair is a part of a variety of organizations including the Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) and holds a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Kutztown University (PA).  Born in Caracas, Venezuela, he resides in Liverpool with his wife Katie and their daughter Sydney.
