Men's Soccer Win Big Over Paul Smith's College

The Mighty Oaks men's soccer team traveled up to Paul Smith's College for the Annual Mark A. "Max" Calderone Memorial Barkeaters Cup. The team came away with a convincing 10-0 win over the Bobcats.

The Mighty Oaks wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, notching a quick goal by freshman Luke Day off a set play on the opening kick. In the ensuing play, sophomore Joseph Kulikowski stole a pass off Paul Smith's first possession, setting up a corner kick. Kulikowski knocked in a goal off the corner kick by sophomore Mickael Myagkota. Less than two minutes into the game, ESF found itself up 2-0. The Mighty Oaks went on to score five more goals in the first half and three in the second half to come away with a 10-0 win. Senior Geoff Golick scored a hat trick while Kulikowski score two goals and assisted on three others.

The men's team improves to 5-3 overall. The Barkeaters Cups stay in Syracuse for another year. The team face off against rivals Onondaga Community College in the annual King of the Hill game Oct. 5.
