Men’s Basketball Team Volunteer at Truxton Academy
The Mighty Oaks men's basketball team volunteered at the Truxton Academy Charter School located in Truxton, New York recently.
The players worked with students in kindergarten through second grade. They led activities that included identifying tree types, planting various types of seeds, reading and math skills, creating catapults and, of course, working on fundamental basketball skills.
Senior Harrison Cox donated a bag of potting soil, seeds and containers for the to students learn how to plant seeds. He was joined by juniors Henry Pflaumer and Mike Bowen in running that activity.
The Truxton Academy kids had a great day learning from the Mighty Oaks basketball players.
