Golf Team Finishes Ninth at the Oswego Invitational

Despite much better weather conditions than the previous weekend when the season opener was scheduled, the ESF golf team struggled at the Oswego Invitational, finishing in a tie for ninth place out of 10 teams.

T.J. Rimmer and Alex Brown lead the team each shooting 88.

The golf team hopes to get back on the winning track versus Syracuse University at the Drumlins Country Club Sept. 20.

The team had hoped to start its 2014-15 season earlier in September but cold and heavy rain plagued the first two and a half hours of the invitational, flooding the course and forcing officials to cancel the event. The invitational has been rescheduled for Oct. 5.

The will be back in action (weather permitting) at the Oswego Invitational Sept. 15.
