Utica Blue and Orange Invite
The track team traveled to Utica University on Saturday with 15 members of the track team and came home with 1 school record and 7 personal best times. This was their first meet of the second semester. In the men's mile, ESF placed 3 in the top top out of 54 runners. Senior Matthew Tripp was 3rd overall and he achieved a school record (4:26.74). Junior Sean Dristle placed 8th in (4:35.69) and Senior Matt Frame was 10th (4:37.96).
The women were led by multiple school record holder, junior Aubrianna DeLario-Brown who placed 6th in the 400 meter (63.67).
The lady Oaks also had a strong performance by the USCAA XC national runner up, first year Savannah Kuhr. Kurh placed 6th in the women's 800 meter with a time of 2:30.87.
We had some really strong performances at this meet. Someone like junior Sean Dristle had 2 breakthrough races (mile and 3000). He set huge personal bests in both races and proved he can be a dominant college runner. We will continue to work and try to improve upon today!
