Track Teams Sweep National Titles
On April 26, 2025, the men's and women's track and field teams competed in the USCAA National Track and Field Championships on the campus of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. Both teams took the top spot and claimed many first place individual finishes as well. The women came in as the defending champs, while the men finished 2nd a year ago.

Joe Striffler, Triple Jump
Colin Flannery, 3k Steeple
Women:
Grace Tansky, 3k Steeple
Maggie Ryan, 1500m
Bryce Hopper, 10k
Coach Melfi's Comments:
We achieved the ultimate goal. Both men and women claimed national titles on the track (and we also did it in cross country). I am beyond a proud coach. Every student athlete we brought to track nationals not only qualified based on the standards, but everyone scored at least 1 point. This was truly a team effort, and it was not a surprise. Year round, this team gets up early in the mornings, they train daily and they give up social events on campus... all for each other. They are so team oriented and it's amazing to see. Thank you to our assistant coaches Hannah Anthes and Aine Haugh who helped us so much this season. We could not have done this without them.
Captain Maura O'Brien's Comments:
It was great to see everyone's hard work pay off. We all put in so many hours of training during he season, and it shows when we race. Additionally, at nationals, even though we endured harsh conditions at nationals, we all supported each other, cheered each other on and that was awesome!
