Hamilton College Invite
The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at Hamilton College on Saturday 10/22. The men raced a 5k and women 4k. The shorter races are typical this late in the season as teams prepare for championship races. The women finished an impressive 2nd place only falling to host Hamilton College while the men were 3rd, just 1 point away from 2nd place. Over 10 regional schools competed at this meet including neighboring LeMoyne College and Utica University. First years, Savannah Kuhr and Katie Richardson both finished in the top 10 individually. Seniors, Matthew Tripp and Matt Frame finished 7th and 8th respectively hitting 5k times of 15:51 and 16:03.
Coach Melfi Comments:
This meet certainly puts us in a great position as we look to the USCAA xc national meet in November. We will be ready to go after another national championship for both men and women. I want to thank our seniors who raced for us their last time. They have given so much to our program, and we will forever be greatful!
