Woodsmen team kicks off season at Finger Lakes Community College

ESF woodsmen kicked off their fall competition season this past weekend at Finger Lakes Community College. The team competed in all 3 divisions, including men's, women's, and jack & jill (co-ed division). The women's team placed 2nd, winning events including axe throw, stock saw, canoe relay, bow saw, cross cut, and pack board relay. The men came in 3rd among the other schools, with 1st place wins in bow saw, crosscut, and canoe relay. The jack and jill team placed 7th in their division, with 100 point wins in the single buck and log roll events. Congratulations to the men's 2 team for making a strong showing and coming in 1st place for axe throwing. 

 
ESF will be hosting our fall home competition, the East Coast Lumberjack Roundup, on October 29th in Tully. The address for the competition field in Tully is 550 route 281, and events will begin around 9 am. We will be chopping and sawing wood all day.
