ESF Woodsmen team travels to Adirondacks to compete at Paul Smiths College

On November 5th, the ESF woodsmen team travelled up to the Adirondacks to compete at Paul Smiths College. We were lucky with a sunny and 70 degree day in the mountains. ESF represented with 4 competing teams, including Women's, Jack and Jill (co-ed), Men's 1, and Men's 2. All of the teams placed towards the top of their divisions in a strong field of competitors. The Jack and Jill teams won the pack board race and log roll events, and ended up 3rd overall in their division. The men's 1 team placed 1st in events including pack board race, log roll, wood splitting, and pulp toss. They placed 3rd overall in the division. Congratulations to Sam Hopson from the men's 2 team for winning the axe throwing event for the men's division. The women's came in 1st place for the following events - pack board race, log roll, team cross cut saw, pulp toss, and wood splitting.

This competition wrapped up the woodsmen team's fall season. We will be back in the spring and traveling to SUNY Morrisville, SUNY Cobleskill, and Dartmouth College. Follow @ESFwoodsmen on Instagram for more updates!
