Huskies Women’s Season Ends in HVIAC Title Game

POTTERSVILLE, NY - - The Word of Life Huskies hosted SUNY ESF for the 2023 HVIAC Championship game on Sunday afternoon. The Mighty Oaks entered as the top seed and looked at taking another HVIAC Title. The Huskies fell to the Mighty Oaks earlier this season 7-0 at ESF, so the Huskies hoped that home-field advantage would come into play. Unfortunately, it did not as the Mighty Oaks competed as usual and took an 8-0 win. The Huskies finish the season as the HVIAC Runner-Up and end with a 3-7-2.

The Huskies earned some hardware this season being the Tournament Runner-Up. The Huskies also had players named to the All-HVIAC Teams with Alivia Jones and Isabella Tanis earning 1^st Team honors, Hailey Jeffreys and Suzie Petrossi earning 2^nd Team honors, and Joy Green as an honorable mention for 2023. Alivia Jones was also honored as Co-Rookie of the Year with SUNY-ESF's Isabelle Chavoustie.
