The Mighty Oaks Sweep Broome at the Dome

The Mighty Oaks men's basketball played their annual Carrier Dome game on tuesday against SUNY Broome. The Oaks sealed the win over the Hornets, 72-61.

After going into halftime down by 7, the Mighty Oaks came back out strong with a 48-24 second half to seal the victory.

Reid Pathcett lead the team scoring with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Christian Rossi finished the game with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Kieran Hefferan had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Matt McFarland had a double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Mighty Oaks.

It was a great night and a great way to finish off the basketball teams first full season since before COVID. And the annual dome game was nothing without the fans. Check out the fan cam gallery here.

After a feast at the Championship Tailgate, the student section made their way to the dome to cheer on the men's basketball team. And cheered they did, with plenty of passion and volume. Oakie even made their way to the game and joined in on the festiviites.
