On Sunday, the Mighty Oaks defeated Word of Life Bible institute to start conference play 1-0. Nate McCarthy, Antonio Franco, and Patrick Emery all had over 20 points. Christian Rossi chipped in with 15 points as well. The Mighty Oaks were down at halftime but came out focused in the second half to complete the 96-79 victory. "It was a great team victory, it's nice to get the first win in conference play under our belt," said junior Kieran Hefferan. The team is back in action on Tuesday night at SUNY Morrisville.
