The ESF men's soccer team took a break from conference play recently to travel and take on Bryant & Stratton of Rochester. This was the first meeting for the two teams. The Bobcats put the Oaks under pressure with a fast frontline and a high-scoring risk from outside the box. The Oaks responded with quick two-touch play and a physical battle. Man of the Match went to graduate student Cooper Weinman. After a laser from his free-kick put the Oaks on the board first, Bryant & Stratton of Rochester responded with a goal of their own. Weinman had the last word with a left-footed, volleyed ripper to set the final score at 2-1.
An outstanding collective team effort brings the Oaks to 5-1 on the season.
