Women’s Soccer Claim No. 2 Seed at Nationals

After dominating the regular season, the Mighty Oaks Women's Soccer team officially clinched the No. 2 seed at the USCAA Division II National Championships in Virginia Beach.

The women cleaned up the HVIAC 10-1-1 by defeating Word of Life 9-0 in the conference final last weekend. The goal frenzy included a hat-trick by midfielder Kelly Cooper and braces by both Jessica Bolton and Mackenzie Koniszewsk. Grace Sinsebox and Maggie Rae Bennett also added their name to the score sheet with a goal apiece. And what is a goal without an assist? HVIAC Player of the Year Claire Maring knows all about that as she contributed a hat trick of assists to her teammates.

The Oaks are rolling! The women are making the long trek to Virginia Beach next weekend and looking to dominate Pool B. They will be playing Penn State Schuylkill first on Friday, Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m. EST. Followed by a matchup against Albany College of Pharmacy on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. EST. Stay on the lookout for game updates and information about livestreams.
