School Records Set at Utica Fast Trax Invite

Two school records were set on Saturday February 3rd at the Fast Trax Invite hosted by Utica University. The meet lasted well into the night with the last event being near 10:00pm. The women's 4x400 broke a 10 year old school record in the last event of the evening finishing second to NCAA Division 2, Lock Haven University. Savannah Kurh, Sophia Jarosz, Ella Roenfeldt and Aubrianna DeLario-Brown were all in their second event of the evening but had enough in them to surpass the record. "I knew the ladies had it in them, but it was getting late, and they all had done a previous race earlier in the meet. We knew what our veteran leaders would give us (Savannah and Aubs), but Sophia and Ella are first years and obviously very new to college racing. They did great" said Coach Melfi.

Earlier in the meet, Sophomore Hayden Bregg broke a 9 year old school record in the 600m with a time of 1:26.67. The previous record was 1:27.0 set by Nick Giordano. Bregg finished 3rd in the race.
