Multiple School Records Set for Both Men's & Women's Track Programs

The first 2 weekends have proven to be very successful for the mens and womens track teams. On March 29, Senior Bryce Hopper set the women's 10k school record at the Geneseo Early Season Invite. Her time of 41:09.8 (6:36 mile pace) was over 4 minutes faster than the previous record set by Erin Cuddihy in 2019.

At the Cortland Red Dragon Open on April 7th, 3 more school records were set as well as an overall win:

*Men's 800m- Korben Anderson, 1:58.48 (previously set by Tom Arcuri 1:59.38 in 2015)

*Men's 100m- Noah Beakes, 11.59 (previously set by Alex Henwood 12.07 in 2019)

*Women's 4x400- Kuhr, Jarosz, Civatte, DeLario-Brown, 4:29.75 (previously set in 2018)

*Senior sensation, Sean Dristle won the men's 1500 in 4:06.97 (winning by over 6 seconds).

It's been one of the best starts to the outdoor track season ever for us. We have depth and talent mixed with a great work ethic. As long as we stay healthy and train/race smart, we will be fine in our future meets, and be in a great position for the USCAA Track and Field Nationals at the end of April in Springfield, MA. -Head coach, Mike Melfi
